Heather Canaday is a well-known health expert and nutrition. She is one of the dietitians registered consistently working in the nutrition communication aspects – as on staff magazine writer, editor, blogger, columnist, speaker, best selling New York Times author, spokesperson, regular national TV guest, a contributor to the national news network, and practitioner.

Heather Canaday is a go-to resource that she appears on the TV shows and also in the local television news program. She also appears as a weekly guest and has given more than 2000 media interviews. She has been referred in several publications, including the Men’s Health, Self, Shape, Glamour, Reader’s Digest, Cosmo Girl, Parenting, In Style, and other international and national publications. Heather is a guest on the radio national networks, Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, Health Radio Network, and National Public Radio.


Heather Canaday graduated from Syracuse University with highest honors. She completed a degree in dietetics/nutrition (B.S.) and in nutrition science a masters degree. She also has completed M.P.H, a masters degree, the second one, in public health, concentrating the family and community health education in South Florida University, a well-known accredited college for public health.


Heather Canaday is a dietitian registered and is a Board-Certified specialist by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in Sports Dietetics. She also completed her formal culinary training and acquired a personal training certification. She studied mindful meditation.


Heather Canaday is a freelance health and food writer. She also publishes her articles and recipes in Ladies’ Home Journal, Prevention, Shape, Family Circle, Women’s Health, Eating Well, Elle Girl, and several other publications.

Heather is a contributing editor in a magazine, Shape health column and has served for a few magazines as nutrition director. She served as the magazines advisory board and is working for professional athletes’ column as a sports nutritionist.


Heather was named for the Young Dietitians in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She was an adjunct faculty member in physical education and she taught undergraduate courses relating to Nutrition, Personal wellness, Fitness and sport.

Heather has spoken in many occasions and places, national conference that has Food and Nutrition Expo & Conference, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the national Medical Fitness Association conference, the American Occupational Health Conference, and so on. She provides wellness and nutrition presentations frequently to professional associations, corporations, athletic teams, community organizations, around the country. Heather has contributed her work for universities, medical centres in New York, California, Texas, and Florida.
